Spotlight: St. Bernard’s High School 20th Reunion for Class of 94

Who doesn’t like a high school reunion??  Well the class of 1994 of St. Bernard’s High School showed up and had a great time.  The DJ played 90’s music and the Vegas-style theme was colorful and fun.  I love seeing that moment when people recognize each other after so many years.  It’s priceless.  I was so happy to share the evening with you, class of ’94!  Hope I’m there for your 30th reunion!

Mommy Mondays: My Thoughts on Luck

Mommy Mondays
Welcome to the third installment of “Mommy Mondays.”
The month of March will forever be intertwined with St. Patrick’s Day. I don’t want to take anything away from the Irish saying  “May the luck of the Irish be with you,” however, I do want to talk about the word luck. Luck means: to prosper or succeed, especially through chance or good fortune. We all know there is no such thing as pure luck. We must participate and work hard to achieve success whatever our endeavors.
luck
People used to say that I was lucky because I could eat whatever I wanted and never seemed to gain weight. As we age, our metabolism slows down and it takes work to maintain what other people think is pure luck on my part. Remember, this is the year that I have challenged myself, as well as all of you, to make that change in your thought process and embrace a more positive and proactive approach toward your life. I do not take my high level of attitude awareness and self-motivation for granted, and neither should you.
I want to bring you up to date on my weight loss progress. Last month I lost two pounds. Guess what? This month I have lost three pounds. I am only five pounds away from my goal! These last 10 pounds have been very difficult to lose.  I am continuing to persevere and will achieve my goal.
It’s a fact that when you FEEL better, about your weight loss, because of your positive outlook, people will tell you that you LOOK better, too.  People want to be around you because you radiate good vibes, possibility thinking, and vitality.
It’s contagious!  What better way to capture and celebrate the  “new you” than with a portrait that captures the results of your hard work.  Lucky for you, Brianna has a package that can bring your efforts to your family and friends.  But, I’ll let her tell you more about that.
Instead of closing this blog with my usual sign-off, I will leave you with this profound Irish saying: May your thoughts be as glad as the shamrocks, may your heart be as light as a song. May each day bring you bright, happy hours that stay with you all year long.

Portrait Session: Katey

On this fine afternoon, I got to spend the day with this cheery teacher, Katey, and her two children.  Katey’s daughter was so ready for the camera.  She would strike a pose and show all of her teeth with a huge smile.  The picture below was a tame for this young starlet-in-training.  Katey’s son, on the other hand… well, let’s just say he took a little coaxing.  No problem, I took some fun pictures of him throughout the session!  Katey, though, was just all smiles throughout.  Beautiful family on a beautiful day!
